The Foundation for Fresno Unified Schools will be expanding the annual suit drive thanks to a $35,000 one-time grant gifted by the Kashian Family Foundation. This year, our suit drive collected 5,000 items of clothing, more than twice the number of items collected last year. The collection provided district juniors and seniors with free professional attire at the Suited for Success event, held for the first time at McLane High School.
The Kashian Family Foundation’s generous grant will also be used to provide scholarships for five graduating seniors who are part of Fresno Unified’s Project ACCESS. This program provides support to foster and homeless youths as they take steps toward college education and careers. The grant was welcomed warmly by both Interim Superintendent Misty Her and Foundation for Fresno Unified Schools Executive Director Wendy McCulley, who expressed their gratitude to the Kashian Family Foundation.
