Fresno Unified Scholarship

The FUSD Scholarship Fund provides scholarships to students who might not otherwise have the financial means to achieve their educational goals beyond high school. These scholarships help some of our most deserving students access college or trade/technical education.

Eligibility Criteria

Graduating high school seniors from one of FUSD’s seven comprehensive high schools, and Cambridge, Design Science, DeWolf, Duncan, Patino, Phoenix, or J.E. Young

Plans to attend a community college, 4-year university/college, or trade/technical school

Earn a minimum augmented 2.5 GPA or higher

Application Requirements

Current transcript with current 10-12 augmented GPA

Two letters of recommendation

Completed typed application, including information on school and community involvement, career aspirations, and financial need

Review Process

A selection committee will evaluate the applications using a scoring rubric that reflects the eligibility criteria. Every effort will be made to ensure a balanced distribution throughout all high schools.

Award

For 2022/2023, a minimum $600 scholarship will be awarded. This may increase upon availability of funds. Students must show proof of enrollment at a community college, 4-year university/college, or trade/technical school within 18 months of high school graduation to claim their award.
