At The Foundation, the focus is on the students—bringing time, talent, and treasure to meet their needs. One primary way of doing so is through scholarships. Executive Officer Linda J. Laettner appeared on Your Central Valley to share details about upcoming scholarship opportunities and deadlines for students.
The Foundation is seeking to award at least $400,000 in scholarships this year. Uniquely, these are awarded directly to the students rather than allocated through the school district, allowing the students to decide specifically how they will utilize their funds. The Foundation has also recently removed some gatekeeping elements from the application process, including requirements for minimum GPA and letters of recommendation, providing a broader, more inviting opportunity to all.
The deadline for scholarship applications is March 16. Prospective applicants are encouraged to visit the scholarships page of The Foundation’s website if they have any questions, and to start the application process.
